PVR Recording with your Englaon TV

Your Englaon TV is able to record your favourite shows from the Free-to-air channels. Before you start please make sure you have set up your USB device and it's using the File system type of FAT32. See the following article on how to do this:Format USB to use FAT32

Using the PVR function on the ENGLAON Non-Smart Televisions

How to set PVR to record.

  1. Select the 'MENU' button located left and above the 'CH' button.
  2. CHANNEL and a list of options will be displayed on the television.
  3. Use the arrow keys to select "Schedule List" and press the 'OK' button on the remote.
  4. Use the colour buttons as indicated on the bottom of the Television.  
    Arrow buttons = Move. Red button = Delete. Yellow button = Add. Blue button = Edit.
    Exit button = Exit.
  5. Select the Yellow button = Add.  A 'Schedule Setup' panel appears on the screen.
  6. Use the left and right arrows to select your desired CHANNEL.
  7. Use the down arrow to move to the next line. 'Type'
  8. Select either 'Recorder' or 'Reminder'.
  9. Use the down arrow to move to the next line. 'Mode'
  10. Use the side arrows to select either 'Once', 'Everyday' or 'Weekly' (this selects the frequency the record will activate).
  11. Use the down arrow to move to the next line. 'Start Time'
  12. Note:- Please remember to adjust the time to cover the time of what you wish to record and incorporate a little time on either side of the recording so as not to miss what you wish to see.
  13. Use the side arrow to highlight the number or word, to change it will be highlighted in a 'Red' colour. Move the up or down arrows to change the value or word. When the correct number is highlighted in red, press the left or right arrow to move to the next number. Press the 'OK' once. 
  14. Use the down arrow to move to the next line. 'End Time'
  15. Repeat the steps outlined in step 13.
  16. Once everything is completed Select 'OK'
  17. There should be a pop-up notification - 'Timer was saved Successfully'
  18. Check your 'Schedule List' to see your 'Programme Title' list of requested recordings. Outlined in Steps 1, 2 and 3.
  19. Use the left arrow to view your programs already recorded.
  20. You can select any line with the up or down arrows and select the 'OK' button to view.
  21. Follow the prompts at the bottom of the screen. 
  22. Please remember Exit button will bring you back to the main television program you were viewing.
  23. If any times are overlapped this will stop the recordings.
  24. Even when the TV is in sleep or standby mode, it will still record the previously set program.

Using the PVR function on the ENGLAON M Series Televisions

How to set PVR to record.

  1. Open the Antenna input, or select the Live TV App.
  2. Press Guide on the remote control, to bring up the Electronic Program Guide.
  3. Select the Program you wish to record, and press the Silver Button (or OK Button).
  4. Select Timer Rec.
  5. Confirm the Date of the program.
  6. If you would like to create repeat scheduled recordings you can adjust the option for Repeat recording, your options are Once/Weekly/Everyday/Mon-Fri/Mon-Sat.
  7. Set Start/End time for the program, and press Set Timer.
    Hint: You can also adjust this so it starts a little earlier than the scheduled time and finishes a little later as well.

How to Cancel PVR recording.

If the program is running

  1. Press Guide on the remote control, to bring up the Electronic Program Guide
  2. Select the Program you are recording, and press the Silver Button (or OK Button).
  3. Select View. A pop-up will appear on the screen stating "TV will cancel scheduled recording, starts in  ..... Do you wish to exit?" Select the Yes option.

If you wish to cancel the scheduled recording before it has started

  1. Press the Silver Button (or OK Button) while watching live TV. 
    You will see the following options at the bottom of the screen
  2. Select Recorded Programs
  3. You will see the following options on the left side of the screen
  4. Select Scheduled Recordings
  5. Select the Scheduled Recording you wish to cancel and press the Silver Button (or OK Button).
    You will see a confirmation window pop-up asking if you want to "Remove the scheduled recording?"
    Select Yes.

How to set PVR to record.

  1. Select the 'MENU' button. that is located on the right side of the remote control 2 buttons above the blue button.
  2. Press the Down Arrow to show the Recording options.
  3. Use the arrow keys to select "Schedule List" Press the 'OK' button on the remote and confirm you want to add a schedule.
  4. A 'Schedule Setup' panel appears on the screen.
  5. Use the left and right arrows to select your desired CHANNEL.
  6. Use the down arrow to move to the next line. 'Start Date"
  7. Select either 'Start Time'.
  8. Use the down arrow to move to the next line. 'Stop Time'
  9. Set the Schedule Type, This sets the schedule to either start to record or show a reminder that a show is able to start.
  10. Set the Repeat Type, Select either 'Once', 'Weekly', or 'Daily' (this selects the frequency the record will activate).
  11. Once you have finished, you can press the Green button to activate the schedule.

Note: You can press the Red button to edit a schedule or use the Blue to exit.

 

To Detele a Schedule

  1. Press MENU
  2. Scroll down to Record List
  3. Use the arrow key to select Schedul List
  4. Select the schedule to be deleted
  5. Press the Blue button to delete the schedule.
  6. You will get a warning confirming if you want to do this, select OK.
