Setting up your Englaon X90 TV
Before you start to set up your Englaon GoogleTV, no matter which option you select, there are a few things you need to consider, that will make things easier for you during the setup process.
- TV antenna
- Network connection, this can be either a phone hotspot or Wi-Fi router and
- Google account, If you don’t have a Google account yet and need to create one, we recommend using your phone or computer to do so.

The whole process is easy and will take about 2-3 minutes.
Bluetooth remote pairing
When you first turn your TV on, you need to pair the Bluetooth remote to the TV, simply press and hold the Left Arrow & Home – button for 3 seconds till the red indicator light flashes, then select the OK button. Now it is paired.
If you do not wish to pair the remote control, select skip.
Welcome Screen
Next, you’ll see the welcome screen. Use the arrow buttons to select the language you want to use and then press the ‘OK’ button. You will now be asked to select your region or country.
You’ll see a menu asking if you’d like to ‘Set up Google TV or Basic TV’. Google TV setup will allow you to configure your Smart TV settings such as Wi-Fi and enter your Google Account. Basic Setup will skip the Google TV set-up and setup the preinstalled apps, Netflix and Prime Video, as well as your Free-to-air TV channels.
Set Up Basic TV
If you select to set up Basic TV, will just set up the basic TV, allowing you to connect to Wi-Fi and run the preinstalled apps Netflix and Prime Video, as well as free-to-air TV. You cannot access the Google Play Store until you set up Google TV.
Select your Wi-Fi network
On selecting "Set up Basic TV" the next screen will ask you to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
If you’re on the go, it’s probably your phone’s hotspot, though it could be your caravan router.
Scroll through and select the network you want. Enter your password, like so. With that, you’re connected.
You may scroll down to the bottom of the available Wi-Fi networks and select skip if you do not wish to connect to a Wi-Fi network yet.
Terms and Conditions
You will be asked now to accept the Google Terms and Conditions and then you will be asked to accept Google Services Agreement.
Parental Password
You’ll be prompted to set a password. Enter any 4-digit combination you would like, except for 0000. Now, pick your time zone. Then, of course, select Home mode for your TV.
Energy Options
Set Energy Options: - You will be given 3 choices here.
The first is Saving Mode, which turns off unneeded features while your TV is in standby mode
The second is Chromecast, which will make Chromecast always available, even when your TV is in stand-by mode.
Lastly, we have Wake on Network, which allows you to wake your TV from standby mode with your Google Home App.
It’s up to you whether you set your Chromecast to be always available. We strongly recommend selecting this Setting as it will give you more convenience.
Tuning Your TV Channels
Now you can set your tuner mode. In your caravan, this is most likely to be Antenna. Make sure your antenna is up and the aerial cable is securely plugged into your TV! Then, you can choose which channels you’d like to scan for. We recommend selecting Digital Channels only.
If at the end, your TV returns to the Tuner Mode screen, you can just go down to Skip. You’ll get a disclaimer, which you can accept.
This may take a while, but after it’s done, your TV is set up and ready for you to enjoy!

Otherwise, press the down arrow and select the “Set up on TV instead” option.

Make the most of your TV
Now you’ll see a Google screen that says asking you to sign in to your Englaon Google TV. Enter in your Google account and password. You cannot skip this step.
Terms and Conditions
Accept the Google Terms and Conditions and then be asked to accept the Google Services Agreement. On this screen, you can choose to turn off Location settings and Help Improve Android Google Assist
When the Google Assist screen is displayed, Press continue.
You’ll be asked if you’d like to automatically install some apps. Just press confirm.
Accept the Network Privacy Policy.

Fix problems with set-up
You might need to set up your Google TV with your remote if:
- You get stuck when you set up with the Home app
- You can't update the Home app
- Your device doesn't appear in the Home app
Finish setup with your remote
- On your remote, hold the Back button.
- When "Having trouble?" appears on your TV screen, choose Set up with remote.
- Choose a Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
